The month of June is terrible. It seems that Streamyx has capped the download speeds of Megaupload, Rapidshare, Sendspace... In fact I think Streamyx are blocking all the downloading that we are doing. Almost all downloads are capped at only 5-15 Kbps. I don't use BT but I heard that they have also capped BT speeds. Don't they know that some of us keep our files on these free hosting servers as a backup ?

Now I can't even download from Rapidshare anymore. The connection just breaks off after a few minutes. I am a free user and it doesn't support resumable downloading. What a CRAP!! Can we sue Streamyx for this ??

Anybody experiencing these problems ? What is the use of paying RM88 for a 1Mbps line when we are getting 5-15Kbps. Is this some kind of joke ? Or is it because the petrol price has increased?

Is there a workaround for this problem ? Other than using VPN of course.

Use portable applications. They don't clog up your registry. Portable applications can even run from your thumbdrive. This is a way of overcoming office PC's that doesn't allow you to install the programs that you wanted. (heh-heh)

Cost of petrol have increase. What to do ? Change your credit cards to those with rebates. DirectAccess credit card has introduced the 2% rebates on all petrol stations. Alliance bank has rebates of 1.5% for all purchases. All these savings will help save you a few ringgit.
